We explored star gazing with Mr Bharat staying in Nainital. It was amazing experience. Mr Bharat was giving us proper knowledge of stars and constellations. Shared with us few unknown facts. Overall it was unforgettable experience.
It was indeed a great experience. Bharat Sir was a very good mentor. He told us a lot about stars , planets and provided us with the information as to how directions can be located using stars. He also gave us briefing about different constellations and showed us Orion Nebula . He was also keen on telling us about Double star cluster. I personally had a great experience
I had an incredible experience with Astrostops at Nest Cottages in Pangot Our day was all planned by the Astrostops team starting with a treak and fun group activities during the day and astro session at night. I was fortunate to be able to experience Geminids meteor shower on 13 December under the guidance of Kuldeep. He is wealth of knowledge and explained complex topics in an intriguing and a simplistic way. He was very patient throughout the session and encouraged everyone to ask questions and be part of the discussion which made the session very interactive. It was nothing less than magical to see 300+ shooting stars in one night. It was enchanting to observe distant planets like Saturn and Jupiter including stars and galaxies through telescope. Overall, it was an incredible experience. I would like to thank Kuldeep and the team for their hardwork and making our experience memorable. You were amazing hosts.

The session was informative, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. First and foremost, I appreciated the expertise of the presenter(Bharat). Their knowledge of astronomy was evident, and they did an excellent job of explaining complex concepts in a way that was accessible to everyone in the audience. I left the session feeling more educated and inspired about the wonders of the universe. The visual aids and multimedia elements used during the session were top-notch. The high-resolution live feed and telescope projection truly brought the beauty of space to life. It was fascinating to see celestial objects and distant galaxies up close, and it added a whole new level of immersion to the presentation. I’ve been to one of the Astrostops to watch the amazing meteorid showers. Bharat told us everything about the sky and also busted some myths !! My first solo trip made special by astrostops. I was very excited to watch the first meteor shower, and all thanks to the wonderful team of astrostops to make that possible for me. The stay was 10/10 and so was the night sky under which we stayed for the whole night watching a lot of shooting stars. If given chance I would do that once again. I loved how the whole day was planned out before the night observations. We had treks, group activities, amazing food. I made a lot of good friends and I am glad that I took this decision to go with astrostops.

It was a great experience. I was in the "Cosmic Color festival". The trip was totally unplanned but worth it. From small activities to Moon & star observation to Jamming session, everything was perfect. I recommend to go there when there's any event happening so that you enjoy more while staying there. Also, the group who was there for stay for this event was really a like a family.
The experience during Astrostop session was as wonderful as the space. Bharat explained our day to day sky in such a lucid way that many things that we never pay attention suddenly become so interesting and vivid. Personally I take interest on space and after attending the session and specially listening to Bharat and watching the stars through the lenses of his telescope, I got insight on many unknown facts about the space and our beloved sky. My 8 year son was also so engrossed by the session and the simple narration given by Bharat. It was really a wonderful experience and it makes our Nainital visit more fruitful. I can confidently say that Astorstop must be in someone's itinerary during Nainital visit.

My experience with Astrostops was pretty amazing. The host Kuldeep was super helpful and was in constant contact with me since the time i booked my slot. He was guiding me at every point. When i finally reached there, by mistake i reached to some other observatory which was 4km ahead of Astrostops. Kuldeep was kind enough to pick me up from there and then he asked for tea as well! I met some like-minded people in my batch and it was overall a memprable trip! ❤️🫰🏻⭐️

Poor service Overpriced rooms Fraud people At the time of booking they told we have 20 more bookings but when we reached there not single person was there. Gysers not working. Lights 24 hour gone No generators available Its a request dont go to such fraud people

We (two females) had a peaceful stay for two nights at the property. It involved astro sessions both nights along with local hikes in and around the area with the host Kuldeep. The hospitality is amazing. Kitchen serves delicious Kumaoni food and arrange everything that is requested. All the staff is very kind and we ended up bonding with them as well. The property is situated in a peaceful village few kms before Nainital and we found it to be at a sweet spot, accessible but also rightly secluded from the noise of the city. The astro sessions were quite insightful and Kuldeep was great in teaching us how to use telescopes on day 2. I would 10/10 recommend this experience. It is quite family friendly stay too. Special thanks to Kuldeep for ensuring we had a great time exploring in this part of the city.

Had a lovely time with my parents at the event. We got to observe Jupiter along with 5 of its moons, Saturn and 3 of its moons, a star cluster which wasnt visible with the naked eye and a bright full moon. We also learnt how to locate the Pole star and calculate latitude based on its location in the sky. Our host Kuldeep is an excellent teacher and we could see the passion and interest that he had for astronomy. His love towards space rekindled my interests as well. It was an amazing night and it was worth the journey.
I had never experienced something like this before and was so mesmerised to see the stars, moon and planets! Kuldeep was very patient and polite and made us to understand each and every thing really nicely! Loved it and i highly recommend you guys to try it atleast once

That Moon craters to Jupiter dust to Couple star(Arundhati and Vashist) to mighty sun and more from newtonian depsoniu reflector telescope was a picture perfect to eyes. Last magical moment was the astro Photography, I was not aware my mobile can do this magic. Bharat a perfect guide, soft spoken, ready to answer your logical queries. Attended the stargazing during the stay at Nainital. The time to reach was 7 PM and we started accordingly. The location is about a 40 min drive from the lake. What I did not expect was the steep climb one has to undertake the moment one leaves the road. Google Maps shows the road right till the Astrostops location. What Google Maps does not inform is the steep climb and an even steeper turn, which folks not used to driving in the hills will result in their car being precariously poised on a sharp steep turn in total darkness. The road narrows as it goes up and there are not signboards or any direction arrows. Following the route led me into a very narrow alley with a wall on one side and a building on the other. Proceeding cautiously, I finally found that the road was blocked. At least a board or a person could be placed before this alley at the time given for arrival to guide the vehicles to the parking area, which is completely in a different direction or the location to the guests should be of the parking from where a person from Astrostops can lead us to the star gazing point. Google Maps location takes you to this point, but be aware that the balance route is on foot on a hillside. The stargazing was to start at 7, but because of the incorrect guidance regarding the state of the road, I had to reverse very cautiously from the narrow alley, give a call to Bharat, who then sent a person (who could have been stationed earlier itself) and after parking and walking we reached the location at 7:30 PM. Post our arrival Bharat called out to other people staying with him for the star gazing. Bharat finally started around 7:45 PM. He gave a brief overview of the night sky, planets, etc. Then few information about the constellations and finally decided to start showing the planets through the telescope. There was ambient light from the neighboring houses which was disturbing. Around 8:10 PM a group of men arrived who were completely drunk and they spoilt the whole evening. They were out for fun and were not much interested in star gazing. The quiet evening of star gazing was completely disturbed by their loud talking, smoking and few of them even started drinking. This was a very unsafe environment for a single or group ladies unaccompanied by males. They did not let all of us listen to what Bharat was talking. In fact, Bharat should have just refused these drunks entry and turned them back. Feeling very uncomfortable and irritated, left as soon as one could. Astrostops needs to get more professional in their conduct and not leave the guests to their own peril to get to the location in pitch dark and also ensure that sanctity of conduct is maintained. Had all this been looked after I would give it a much better rating So before you finalize the time have Bharat place a person on the main road itself to ensure that you reach smoothly.

If you come to stay at Camp Gopika and miss out on the Astronomy Session, Then it's unfortunate. It was by far the most unique experience of the Year! 🌌 🔭 🚀 👽. There are two sessions, one in the Evening, which involves Moon gazing 🌝🌙, Jupiter and it's moons, Sirius (A Blue-White Star) , Beetlegeuse (A red Supergiant Star), A Nebula, and if you are lucky, You may even see Saturn 🪐! In the Morning session, You will have a detailed Look at the Sun 🌞☀️ and You will see all its spots. Also, you can opt for a rocketry Session, where you make your own DIY rocket 🚀 using recycled bottles and launch it! Mr. Bharat, the person behind Astrostops, is an Astronomy Genius and really Informative. Do try the session without fail if you come to stay here! 🚀🪐🔭🌌✨
This Is a “Must-Have” experience for all the Space/Astronomy enthusiasts in India, Irrespective of all the knowledge you have from Books, YouTube & Movies. Nothing compares to the actual experience of looking at a sky full of stars and then Looking are planets & stars through a Telescope! The entire staff at the premises are unbelievably friendly & welcoming. The Owner of the property made me feel like I’m visiting home of someone I know. If you are a fellow space nerd like me, keep your immense knowledge on the side and just visit the place to look at the stars and planets with your own eyes.

I was not having a very good time in life when the advertisement of Astrostops about Cosmic Valentine came in my focus. I grabbed the opportunity to be with myself and booked tickets that moment. On 12th night I boarded train from Howra and started my journey far away from my home. After a day and half I reached Kathgodam on 14th morn and took my bus to Baldiyakhan. Bharat guided me throughout my journey. When I reached the owner of the property Kiran ma'am with her heartiest smile and genuinity welcomed me and served me Rajma Chawal. That afternoon Bharat took me to watch Sunset and in the way we stopped at a old building which was a post office in the British era. The architecture made a beautiful symphony in every picture with me and Bharat showed no irritation clicking numerous number of photos of me. Sitting on the grass and looking at the setting sun above in the hills can never me more serene, the road beneath showed tiny cars passing by and how little we are in front of the mighty nature. That night was etheral with Bharat's skilled hosting while watching over the sky and knowing about the universe and other universes as well. Moon never looked that detailed before. The next afternoon we trekked down and sat near a tiny stream and felt the peace in the nature. Came back hours later and made my first rocket and launched it. It went far away exciting us. Excitement accelerated when the Bisht family played cricket together and asked me to join. It was lovely to watch the family together play in harmony which was so rare to experience in cities. Here we don't really have much time for family gatherings. The night we saw the beautiful venus(planet) and the beautiful Sirius(star) and many more through the Telescope. Dinner was with chatting with Bharat, cook Santosh and other staffs. The food was healthy and very tasty. The last day we watched Sun and discussed with music playing in the background and warm sunrays hitting the skin like a lover. When I was leaving I left a part of me in the woods with the deer I saw, the dog Jimmy, with the winds, with the flowers around and with Baldiyakhan and promised to come back again maybe with maa or someone to share the experiences with. Thanks to the very beautiful Bharat for being with me in this journey, this time
It was an amazing trip to space, got into a completely different world of stars and cosmic objects, got a glimpse of what it is like to have a close experience of being a part of this universe, the feeling of diving deep into astronomy and that night gazing was way too fascinating. Entire staff was extremely friendly, price was also quite reasonable, and the informative sessions really helped to explore the universe better.
The place has a nice concept if you’re interested in learning more about astronomy and space. Quiet location with a pitch black sky, suitable for astronomical observations. Food was fresh and tasty. Activities were well planned. One area that needs improvement is the service, for which they need an increase in the number of support staff.

A visit to Astrostops is something I’d recommend to everyone! The place is calm, surrounded by nature, and the pahadi food hits just right. But the real highlight? The night sky. My stay at Astrostops was nothing less than relaxing and memorable. Nestled around lush forest and whispering Pines, it is a sanctuary for anyone seeking tranquility, fresh air, and a break from the digital noise of everyday life. From the moment you arrive, the distant calls of birds create a soothing, almost meditative atmosphere. Our room had huge windows that framed a stunning landscape—rolling hills, dense forest, and a sky that shifted from golden sunrise to starlit night. Bharat, Mohit and the entire staff were friendly. They organised team building games for us which were really fun. We played like kids after a really long time. They took us to jungle trek and village tour and were incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife. Attending the stargazing session with the high end telescope was truly the highlight of our trip. From the moment, they began speaking, it was clear they had a deep knowledge about the cosmos. We saw craters on moon, sirius (the brightest star), satellite, ursa major, taurus star, leo and virgo constellations, sun spots, betelgeuse (the dying star). We even played robo kabaddi and made and launched our own hydro rockets. Santosh ji has incredible culinary talent. The food was fresh and organic. Overall, it was worth it and a highly recommended place for all age groups. I would love to visit again

My first solo trip made special by astrostops. I was very excited to watch the first meteor shower, and all thanks to the wonderful team of astrostops to make that possible for me. The stay was 10/10 and so was the night sky under which we stayed for the whole night watching a lot of shooting stars. If given chance I would do that once again. I loved how the whole day was planned out before the night observations. We had treks, group activities, amazing food. I made a lot of good friends and I am glad that I took this decision to go with astrostops.

It was a great experience. I was in the "Cosmic Color festival". The trip was totally unplanned but worth it. From small activities to Moon & star observation to Jamming session, everything was perfect. I recommend to go there when there's any event happening so that you enjoy more while staying there. Also, the group who was there for stay for this event was really a like a family.

The experience during Astrostop session was as wonderful as the space. Bharat explained our day to day sky in such a lucid way that many things that we never pay attention suddenly become so interesting and vivid. Personally I take interest on space and after attending the session and specially listening to Bharat and watching the stars through the lenses of his telescope, I got insight on many unknown facts about the space and our beloved sky. My 8 year son was also so engrossed by the session and the simple narration given by Bharat. It was really a wonderful experience and it makes our Nainital visit more fruitful. I can confidently say that Astorstop must be in someone's itinerary during Nainital visit.

I did an astronomy session with Mr. Badal at Cygnett resort on the outskirts of Nainital. It was 90 minutes of knowledge and money well spent. It has become the highlight of the trip so far. Badal cleared up a lot of our ignorance.

It was such an insightful session! I got to learn so many new facts about our universe. The session was conducted amazingly by the instructor, Mr. Kuldeep. But the cherry on the cake was that it was an interactive session, and every doubt that the group had was cleared to the dot, which developed even more interest in the theory. Thanks so much. It was indeed a great experience. Bharat Sir was a very good mentor. He told us a lot about stars, planets, and provided us with information on how to locate directions using stars. A very unique concept of Astro-Tourism. You go for a vacation, and then these guys take you out into never-ending space. They have selected a very specific location where you can immerse yourself in space. Planets, stars, galaxies, and whatnot, they take you on a journey that is probably millions of light-years away.
