We (two females) had a peaceful stay for two nights at the property. It involved astro sessions both nights along with local hikes in and around the area with the host Kuldeep. The hospitality is amazing. Kitchen serves delicious Kumaoni food and arrange everything that is requested. All the staff is very kind and we ended up bonding with them as well. The property is situated in a peaceful village few kms before Nainital and we found it to be at a sweet spot, accessible but also rightly secluded from the noise of the city. The astro sessions were quite insightful and Kuldeep was great in teaching us how to use telescopes on day 2. I would 10/10 recommend this experience. It is quite family friendly stay too. Special thanks to Kuldeep for ensuring we had a great time exploring in this part of the city.

Attended the stargazing during the stay at Nainital. The time to reach was 7 PM and we started accordingly. The location is about a 40 min drive from the lake. What I did not expect was the steep climb one has to undertake the moment one leaves the road. Google Maps shows the road right till the Astrostops location. What Google Maps does not inform is the steep climb and an even steeper turn, which folks not used to driving in the hills will result in their car being precariously poised on a sharp steep turn in total darkness. The road narrows as it goes up and there are not signboards or any direction arrows. Following the route led me into a very narrow alley with a wall on one side and a building on the other. Proceeding cautiously, I finally found that the road was blocked. At least a board or a person could be placed before this alley at the time given for arrival to guide the vehicles to the parking area, which is completely in a different direction or the location to the guests should be of the parking from where a person from Astrostops can lead us to the star gazing point. Google Maps location takes you to this point, but be aware that the balance route is on foot on a hillside. The stargazing was to start at 7, but because of the incorrect guidance regarding the state of the road, I had to reverse very cautiously from the narrow alley, give a call to Bharat, who then sent a person (who could have been stationed earlier itself) and after parking and walking we reached the location at 7:30 PM. Post our arrival Bharat called out to other people staying with him for the star gazing. Bharat finally started around 7:45 PM. He gave a brief overview of the night sky, planets, etc. Then few information about the constellations and finally decided to start showing the planets through the telescope. There was ambient light from the neighboring houses which was disturbing. Around 8:10 PM a group of men arrived who were completely drunk and they spoilt the whole evening. They were out for fun and were not much interested in star gazing. The quiet evening of star gazing was completely disturbed by their loud talking, smoking and few of them even started drinking. This was a very unsafe environment for a single or group ladies unaccompanied by males. They did not let all of us listen to what Bharat was talking. In fact, Bharat should have just refused these drunks entry and turned them back. Feeling very uncomfortable and irritated, left as soon as one could. Astrostops needs to get more professional in their conduct and not leave the guests to their own peril to get to the location in pitch dark and also ensure that sanctity of conduct is maintained. Had all this been looked after I would give it a much better rating So before you finalize the time have Bharat place a person on the main road itself to ensure that you reach smoothly.

I was not having a very good time in life when the advertisement of Astrostops about Cosmic Valentine came in my focus. I grabbed the opportunity to be with myself and booked tickets that moment. On 12th night I boarded train from Howra and started my journey far away from my home. After a day and half I reached Kathgodam on 14th morn and took my bus to Baldiyakhan. Bharat guided me throughout my journey. When I reached the owner of the property Kiran ma'am with her heartiest smile and genuinity welcomed me and served me Rajma Chawal. That afternoon Bharat took me to watch Sunset and in the way we stopped at a old building which was a post office in the British era. The architecture made a beautiful symphony in every picture with me and Bharat showed no irritation clicking numerous number of photos of me. Sitting on the grass and looking at the setting sun above in the hills can never me more serene, the road beneath showed tiny cars passing by and how little we are in front of the mighty nature. That night was etheral with Bharat's skilled hosting while watching over the sky and knowing about the universe and other universes as well. Moon never looked that detailed before. The next afternoon we trekked down and sat near a tiny stream and felt the peace in the nature. Came back hours later and made my first rocket and launched it. It went far away exciting us. Excitement accelerated when the Bisht family played cricket together and asked me to join. It was lovely to watch the family together play in harmony which was so rare to experience in cities. Here we don't really have much time for family gatherings. The night we saw the beautiful venus(planet) and the beautiful Sirius(star) and many more through the Telescope. Dinner was with chatting with Bharat, cook Santosh and other staffs. The food was healthy and very tasty. The last day we watched Sun and discussed with music playing in the background and warm sunrays hitting the skin like a lover. When I was leaving I left a part of me in the woods with the deer I saw, the dog Jimmy, with the winds, with the flowers around and with Baldiyakhan and promised to come back again maybe with maa or someone to share the experiences with. Thanks to the very beautiful Bharat for being with me in this journey, this time

They took us to jungle trek and village tour and were incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife. Attending the stargazing session with the high end telescope was truly the highlight of our trip. From the moment, they began speaking, it was clear they had a deep knowledge about the cosmos. We saw craters on moon, sirius (the brightest star), satellite, ursa major, taurus star, leo and virgo constellations, sun spots, betelgeuse (the dying star). We even played robo kabaddi and made and launched our own hydro rockets. Santosh ji has incredible culinary talent. The food was fresh and organic. Overall, it was worth it and a highly recommended place for all age groups. I would love to visit again
